Little Love

It's no secret that I love Hole and idolize Courtney Love quite a bit, yeh, boob flashing and all I think she's swell. As a rebellious child I loved hole, they were tough and in your face and looked super freaking cool. Plus, my mom called them "noise" thus solidifying their appeal.
I happen to think her style is pretty awesome, or was, these days it's a bit lack luster I know. But I loved those red lips, ripped tights and tarty babydoll dresses. She was the crowned queen of grunge. I can't deny the soft spot I still harbor for babydoll ditsy floral print dresses and the occasional clunky doc martin.
Her rebel without a cause streak was also pretty enviable and the fact that she didn't seem to care what people thought made my youthful offenders heart convulse.
It seems though that mama's little baby is following in her wild child footsteps, a good thing? I'm not so sure, but the girl looks pretty badass. I will admit to having a soft spot for alabaster skin, ebony locks and a ruby red mouth(I'm talking to you Dita). And this girl has all that going, and she's only 16! I suppose if you're the offspring of uber famous and yet more tragic grunge royalty you have no choice but to be pretty fierce.

God Damnit Zooey!

I thought that after my disappointment at 500 Days of Summer perhaps Zooey and I had drifted apart(as others have mentioned).  Side note, I am not saying I hated the movie, just that it made me very sad.  Then she brilliantly comes out with this little number and melts my heart all over again.  I love this bizarrly adorable little dance number between her and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Also, she is still making me covet that pretty, shiny dark hair with the big bangs and bigger blue eyes.  Plus, I love me some jazz hands, who doesn't?
P.S.  Who knew JGL could do back flips?!

Be Still My Rock and Roll Hart

Alison Mosshart, how I love you, let me count the ways... This chick is pure rock and roll and I am completely and totally infatuated.  My man went to see the Dead Weather when they hit up Boston and is now completely enamoured of Alison as well.
Besides being sexy this girl kicks some serious ass.  She has kick ass musical talent, really really great hair, looks amazing in a leather jacket and more than holds her own against the enigmatic Jack White. Oh swoon...

Brody

If I had the balls, I would cut my hair just like this and be a hot rocker chick.  If you don't know Brody Dalle she is from the now defunct band The Distillers.  It's awesome angry chick music but with some real musical chops if you're getting sick of your Kelly Clarkson and need something a little harder(come on pissed off girl, you know you're secretly listening to Since You Been Gone).
She's in a new band which I haven't had a chance to listen to yet but they are called Spinnerette and I'm willing to bet are worth checking out.  I happen to think she is one of the hottest tough chicks out there and I am desperately envious of her messy, black locks.
The girl has it all going, big gorgeous lips, a hot hair style and a kick ass band.

Do you have an idol that you love but are just to chicken to pull off their style?

I love Jenny Lewis, her style, her music, and that freaking Dylan shirt.  She is yet another icon of mine but  more a lifestyle icon if that makes sense.  Who is your icon?

Iconic

Who are your style icons?  I feel like everyone has a star, maybe a few, that they identify with.  Sometimes its stars of the past, maybe it's just their style or maybe it's their lifestyle or outlook.  For me the following three girls played a big part in influencing my style.

Kate Hudson

Kirsten Dunst
Finally...

Zooey Deschanel
