Cat Naps: The Beach

Man could I use two things, a nap and a vacation. This picture pretty much covers both and it looks lovely. I've finished midterms but I'm still pretty exhausted. Hope you guys are doing well and if you aren't finished that you're chuggin' right along. Oh the joys of napping.

Cat Nap: 100 Years

I love this picture.  It seems so peaceful and natural.  It reminds me of the old legend of Rip Van Winkle who slept for a hundred years, incidentally said legend is a local one to where I grew up.  I could use a solid nap, maybe not a hundred years, but I think 50 or so would do me just fine.  I love New York, but sleeping is just not a thing that happens here.  It never seems to fail that by the time I saunter to my bed after a night of drinking cheap beer on the roof, watching old movies in bed, or discussing love and life with my friends and roommates till the wee hours of the morning it is practically time to get up and start all over again.  Not that I'm complaining, because really I wouldn't have it any other way but it does leave me rather in need of a nice, cool, dark place to lay my weary head for a little while.  Luckily, my loving mother has invited me to come stay at her house on the lake for a few days before heading back to Boston, ahhhhh, some peace and quiet.

Cat Nap

Oh I hate the mid-day sleepies!  I'm at work and so tired.  Anyone got any tips on keeping productive when all you want to do is curl up in a pretty little bed just like this and sleep the day away...

Cat Nap Like A Queen

It's getting to be that time where I could really use a nap again and I think this is the perfect place.  I know it's a bit cheesy but I love me a round bed.  I know, how Playboy Mansion of me.  It just looks so regal!  I love the subtle mix of colors and how they played with the height of the room, just glorious.

Snuggle Bugs

Sometimes the best thing you can do to cheer yourself up is climb into bed with some friends and just cuddle.  Spooning is a big pass time here at Halsey Kingdom and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoy a good snuggle.  How do your friends cheer you up?

Wanna Build a Fort?

Some days, I just don't want to leave my house.  And with all the rain lately, I've had a lot of those days.  On one of those particular mornings my lovely roommate wandered into my room and asked if we could just not go to work and instead stay home and build a fort.
That got me to thinking, do you remember building blanket forts when you were a kid?  Why don't we do that anymore?  These lovely pictures just make me feel so cozy all I want to do is snuggle up with a book and pretend there is no world outside.

I Need A Nap

Relax

Today is my last day to relax before I start work tomorrow and sadly I am home feeling a bit under the weather.  I have terrible seasonal allergies but I seem to also have a bit of a cold.  I walked to Prospect Park yesterday to read for a bit and was hoping to walk back and stroll through the botanical gardens today but I think instead I shall be spending the day in bed with my kitty and a whole bunch of tea and movies.  If you hadn't guessed, I'm pouting.

Tuckered Out

All moved in, now I need some ZZZZZ's.  Tomorrow I venture out into my new hometown of Brooklyn to locate some finishing touches for my room.  Namely, some more fun closet storage solutions and some nail clippers, I always forget the little things.  Goodnight lovelies!

Outdoor Decor: Stress Reliever

Moving is outrageously stressful as I'm sure you all know, and this move is no exception.  My boyfriend's subletter has already moved in(along with his 2 little pugs) so it is quite a full house.  Luckily the new roomie is really nice so we're all getting along but it is none the less a bit stressful.  This picture is exactly what I want to be doing right now.  Now that the weather is nice sleeping outside on this gorgeous roof seems like the perfect solution to my stress. Ahhhhh.
